In the miniature of August a party is depicted hunting on horseback, with the Duke's castle of Etampes in the background.
The Very Rich Hours of the Duke of Berry
The Très Riches Heures was illuminated for the French duke, Jean de Berry, by the three Limbourg brothers. The (black) death in 1416 of the patron and his painters left this book of hours unfinished.

Purchased around 1520 by the Venetian cardinal Grimani, this manuscript includes numerous miniatures of religious and secular subjects.

Qing #06 - 清朝詩人 - 倉央嘉措

 倉央嘉措 

(1683-1706,清朝藏族,第六世達賴喇嘛)白話文詩人

倉央嘉措詩歌

“倉央嘉措詩歌,指的是六世達賴喇嘛所作的一系列詩歌的統稱。倉央嘉措為六世達賴喇嘛的法名,他同時是西藏著名的詩人,留下不少詩作。其詩作中有不少描寫愛情的內容,故而也被漢人稱為「倉央嘉措情歌」。然而事實上藏族人使用「道歌、偈言」而不是「山歌、情歌」來稱呼它,因而稱為情歌是不準確的。
        “倉央嘉措詩歌廣泛而零散地流傳在藏區。至民國時期,由藏學家于道泉對康區的倉央嘉措詩歌進行整理,得66首詩歌,將其譯為漢文和英文,並於1930年發表。”
