A master must
- excel in techniques,
- have his own compositions and styles,
- have solo performance and disc publication.
The traditional school has 3 generations.
Generation 1 masters includes Manolo de Huelva, and Ramon Montoya.
Generation 2 includes Sabicas, Nina Ricardo, Pepe Martinez, among others.
G3 includes Paco Peno, Juan Martin, Manolo Sanlucar.
